Formerly an independent curator and a consultant to a private collection in Japan, Valeria Diaz Granada is in charge of acquisitions as well as the artistic programme at-large for Beowulf. Originally from Colombia, Valeria Diaz Granada now lives between Paris and Tokyo.

In 2021 she is launching Colombia in Venice, a non profit organization promoting Colombian culture and contemporary heritage in Venice. Valeria has read Philosophy and Sociology at Sorbonne University, Art History at the Ecole du Louvre and holds a Master’s degree from EHESS in Paris.

Valeria is interested in the speculative nature of knowledge, the construction of meaning, the importance of curiosity and the things we don’t understand. She collects kimonos and artists’ favourite poems for an archival project.

インディペンデント・キュレーターやプライベートコレクションのコンサルタントとして日本で働いていたヴァレリア・ディアス・グラナダは、ベオウルフでの購入およびアートプログラム全般の責任者です。コロンビア出身の彼女は、現在パリと東京を行き来して暮らしています。

彼女がヴェネチアで2021年に立ち上げる「Colombia」は、コロンビアの文化と現代の遺産をヴェネチアでプロモートする非営利団体です。ヴァレリアはソルボンヌ大学で哲学と社会学を、エコール・デュ・ルーヴルで美術史をそれぞれ専攻し、パリのEHESSで修士を取得しました。

ヴァレリアは知識の推論的性質、意味の構造、好奇心の重要性、そして人間の理解を超えた事柄に興味があります。彼女は着物を集めているほか、アーティストたちが好きな詩をアーカイブプロジェクトのために集めています。
