BEOWULF
Art Catalyzer
2020 – 2022
About the project
In 2020 Beowulf was born from the endeavors of our rossogranada founder, Valeria Diaz Granada in Tokyo, Japan. Valeria invited Xanthi Skoulariki and together they set out to establish an innovative, multifaceted art catalyzer dedicated to conceive, commission and support contemporary cultural narratives for the rising generation of artists, curators and collectors amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
Highlights of that period is the collaboration with the Athens Biennale and artist Navine G. Dossos in 2021 for her mural “Ta Nea Xysta”, a project that was received with significant acclaim. More recently, Beowulf showcased a photography exhibition in Zürich in June 2022, titled “Louise Bourgeois x Dimitris Yeros, an Unseen Friendship”.
Beowulf started out as an experimental and cutting-edge platform in a time that the whole world was challenged. The notable success of Beowulf resulted in moving forward with rossogranada with the ongoing mission of prioritizing on the artists while empowering meaningful and immersive initiatives that bring together communities from a wide range round the world.
Our initial principles that made Beowulf a unique organization at the junction of contemporary art and philanthropy are carried on to rossogranada where we continue with our core values of supporting artists, forging community relations, and delivering outstanding synergies and global projects.
